Volume 1 - “Recluse” is a pack of 10 compositions, focusing on the moody and/or sinister side of modern R&B, inspired by artists like Brent Faiyaz and The Weeknd, with inspiration for synth and percussion sound design hailing from the works of Jai Paul and Mike Dean.

Each sample utilizes guitars, real analog synthesizers, live drums/percussion, and vocal recordings, all composed by devules in house. Virtual instruments (VSTs) and one-shots are also used. All master compositions are then recorded onto high-quality cassette tape and played back to apply a vintage taste to the sound. 

Inspired by Frank Dukes and with passion for R&B, devules strives to bring industry-quality compositions for your next big hit. Each sound is meticulously processed and edited to give a distinct feel. Similar to other sample libraries, clearances and royalties are easier than ever, with easy to understand policies. 

All compositions and stems are recorded and rendered in 24-Bit Lossless WAV audio.

In case of placement ​using the sample(s), you will split the publishing, royalties, mechanicals, points & advance fees with devules fairly and Production (or Co-Production) must be credited to devules.

By purchasing/using the compositions, you agree to the following terms:

1. Minor Releases: ​You may use the sample for recordings on your own personal projects, independent releases, beat tapes, and mix tapes that are not distributed or released via a "Major Label" (i.e., Sony, BMG, UMG, WEA, or their subsidiaries) or "Large Indie Label" (i.e., Alamo, Empire, 300, E1 or comparable label) (each such release, a "Minor Release") at no additional cost outside of the License Fee), ​provided that any Minor Release that exceeds one million streams on Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube shall be considered a Major Release for purposes of this license and shall be subject to the terms below for Major Releases​.

   
   

2. Major Releases: ​for Recordings to be distributed or released via a major label or large indie label, ​or any minor release that exceeds one million streams on Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube ​(each such release, a "Major Release"), you shall be required to:

   (a) Contact devules promptly to seek clearance for use of the sample on a release.

   (b) Provide for a ​50/50 split ​(negotiable) of any ​publishing, royalties, mechanicals, points & advance fees​, including for the avoidance of doubt, in relation to any '​synch licenses​'

   (c) ​Provide [devules/the creator of the applicable sample] ​with ​Production or Co-Production credit ​on any singles or albums (in any configuration), in advertisements, and wherever metadata permits.
